5 codes on '02 V70 2.4T

Post by goldwagon »

Check engine light on, with following codes showing:

P2090 Exhaust camshaft reset valve; Signal too low or signal missing
P0245 Turbocharger (TC) control valve; Signal too low. Permanent fault
P0445 Evaporative emission system (EVAP) valve; Signal too low. Intermittent fault
P0448 Leak diagnostic unit, valve; Signal too low
P2401 ???

Car runs fine. 200 miles ago, I replaced an ignition coil. In doing so, I removed hose clamp holding turbo air delivery unit at the point where it runs into the radiator...just under the oil dipstick. I'm wondering if I banged something up while moving things around to get at the ignition coil?

Any assistance in tracking this down is greatly appreciated.

It may be a good idea to go over all the areas you may have disturbed when you replaced the coil.

My money is on wiring that has no or little plastic conduit under the valve cover and is sending erratic signals to the car's ECU due to intermittent grounding with the valve cover.

How does the car's wiring look. Is the conduit all torn up or is it complete?

I'll take the cover off and check for grounds and/or stripped insulation.

Conduit is in good shape; I'm the original owner and know the car pretty well.

I'll keep all posted. Any other ideas out there?

On electronically controlled vehicles wiring and connector condition is critical.
One cannot let it go like the old school electrical / mechanical controlled cars.

P2401 = Leak diagnostic unit, pump. Signal too high

Get the car scanned and list the DTCs you have. Autozone will do a scan for free.
