Coil packs

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Coil packs

Post by Joelcotten »

I had a misfire code so decided to replace plugs and coil packs. During the process discovered bare wires on the coil pack plugs. Wrapped them in tape and now the car won’t start. Help please!

You might of blew the coil pack fuse when you where working on it. Check fuse 11B/11.
The mounting bolts are the grounds, make sure they are clean and the cam cover is clean at that spot.

What RickHaleParker stated plus make sure you didn't turn around any of the connectors and have everything connected.

By the way - what exactly is the vehicle doing other than not starting? Some details, including smell.
