These don't have a normal button that is depressed when the door is shut like most cars. They had to make it more complicated than that.Roadrunner wrote:Has any one thought of just replacing the switch that is on the door piller? It is a black compression switch.
My guess is that the switch is worn out and now is not breaking the contack like it would when the door is closed.
I have not replaced this part yet but it can not be that bad.
Changing gears here has anyone repaired the door holder (not sure what it is called) so the car door will stay open.
My driver door will close on a up lean and fly open on a dowared lean.
