SUNDAY AFTERNOON
3) Upper Engine Mount & Transmission Torsion Rod - Decided to install these while waiting for the coolant tank. I also inserted some flexible magnet as shims for the gap in the front control arm bushings. If the pull is still there the rear control arm bushings are suspect. If the pull goes away I will remove the magnets and see if it comes back. If so the front control arm bushings are bad.

Regardless, I hope to have time to replace the control arm bushings.

Is no one working on their cars, in spite of being home?
I'm working on the Alfa finally.... The Volvo will have to sit.

03 S80 T6 - Replaced all brake hoses with Stainless from FCP and used 1 qt. of fluid to flush the entire system. When the hose was disconnected on the opposite end of the caliper, I compressed the caliper piston fully using the metal edge of the brake pad with a large pair of channel locks (EDIT: Without removing the calipers) to see if any rusty colored fluid came out. Only one was a little dirty at the very end of the compression but all were good.
The rear was time consuming due to space limitations but the fronts were easy.

Missing a bumper? Had to cut an old one off and trim so it will fit snugly on the new hose and then used a zip tie to hold it in place.

Sometimes you have to have that light right in middle of the work. Not from behind, not from the side, not on the ground and not wrapped around your head. Iron Man has got nothing on this cheap Costco Snap On light?
. .
Front Hose at caliper. Dirt is going to fill the small space above the threads in the caliper.

I also replaced all brake hoses and the back was quite a headache, even with small asian hands like myself. But its a fullfilling job, once you are done.

I've starting to put a shroud around that light. Purchased about 4 of them. They are way too intense and flood rather than focus. If you can just see it with the side of your eyes it is still very bothersome. Gonna find out one of these days that LED was bad for the eyes.

Interesting on the brake lines Ben. I have a couple sets of braided lines waiting for me to put them on. One of these ambitious days, I keep telling myself.
The cars I'm putting them on look pretty crusty at both ends of each existing line.
It'll be a first for me on 4 wheels.
Many a 2-wheeler I've done.

The only time I've dealt with brake lines was years ago when my brother drove over a small boulder with our 82 VW Diesel Truck. Sheared one of the lines and flatted the other under the body and bent the rear axle. Back then I was studying HVAC so used a flaring tool and splice the line. Wouldn't attempt that today unless it was too difficult to replace an entire line.- Pete - wrote: ↑07 Apr 2020, 23:29 Interesting on the brake lines Ben. Have never change the flex hose before or even looked at it so thought it would be daunting but being it's my eldest college car away from home I thought I won't procrastinate on that. To be honest I don't think it's critical but I will cut one of the older hoses to see what it is made of. I'm thinking it's probably like any other rubberized hose under the engine but with a much heavier weave.
(Wrong Forum But...) Just to show how one can procrastinate. Today I installed a set of Adjustable Camber Arms & Forward Lower Locating Control Arm on my 2nd son's C30 purchased in 01/02/19
