So many possibilities it's hard to know where to start. It would be helpful to know what the no start condition is like....the engine turns over but doesn't catch, it sputters, etc. The other thing you don't say is if it's had any work recently. That would be good to know.
My first inclination is to tell you to make sure your fuel filter is clean, your air filter is clean and if you haven't changed your spark plugs, to change them now with OEM Volvo plugs.

Jomoto, the car is 5-6 years old. The Volvo dealership is very expensive. Don't you have a non dealer garage nearby that does only Volvos, and comes with a good reputation? During the tuneup ask them to clean the throttle valve. When were your brakes last changed? Non Volvo brake pads could have warped your disk because of the metal filings in the pads, so don't repeat the same mistake.
