I can't totally rule out an issue with the ECU given other problems I've dealt with (flickering CEL that I've pretty much traced to an internal ECU problem) but there are 3 things I'm thinking at this point. TCV (unlikely since it's new, but anything's possible), ECU, or a clogged up cat.wizechatmgr wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 00:27 Happen to replace the turbo control valve? My guess is the pressure may be getting high enough to push through it. If it isn't the CBV or a hose, my guess would be this... (Assuming the ECU isn't causing the issue intentionally)
The CBV is in good shape and not very old, so that's unlikely to be the problem. The IC hoses are in pretty sad shape, so that's a possibility. It could explain the inconsistent boost... sometimes it'll boost to 15 PSI with little issue, other times it takes its time to get there. I feel if it was in fact a clogged cat, it would be more consistent. It's slow to boost either way, so anything's possible.
In other news, this appeared today. 400 hp M66 S60R! My buddy just bought it and dropped it off for some work. He drove it 4 hours up here from Georgia (where he bought it) with a totally missing control arm bushing. It was all over the road, but he made it safely!
