This is what I thought as well. Not yet, had things come up today so had to postpone the salvage yard visit until tomorrow. I will report back with an update and any differences I notice. Thanks again for all the help!Cookeh wrote: 11 Sep 2020, 05:52 If the core support is different then that might explain the different rad set-up. Did you manage to clarify if there was a difference in the core support?

Quick update for anyone interested...
Well I made it to salvage yard today! I couldn’t believe it but I was lucky enough to find a first half 1994 850! So it had my same taller headlights etc!
I was able to pull almost everything needed from her including two headlights, core support, headlight wiper motor, headlight/wiper trim, fender, and that mysterious “impact bar” who’s identification alluded me originally. All this and still under $200 so far
The bar drilled out fairly easily and I think should be no problem to weld onto my 850. In addition, I have yet to strip mine down yet but it appears the later style core support is fully interchangeable! As, though I have not ripped into mine yet, the ‘94, which had the same size headlights as my ‘93, actually had the later style core support. Holding it up to mine I could see too that all holes seemed to line up so I am confident it should be a easy fit! Will continue to update with progress thanks again everyone!
