On the "A" side, the "30's" are on the top. On the "B" side, they're on the bottom.

Install your diode like I did in the pic. That is correct, A32 to A37.
I see the "A" and "B" now Chuck and it all makes sense. Thanks for your time sir.

I had another reply, and it seems to have vanished before I sent that one above.

The SAS didn't come into play until the M4.4 engine management was in use, which first appeared in the NA cars in '96. Then the '97 GLT LPT got it, and then in '98 all of them were M4.4.

The ECU is Robert's video is most likely just an extra for the video. That PN (-072) is a 96-97 HPT M4.3 ECU, which never had SAS.

All of the connectors/plugs are the same from 93-98, but some of the terminal uses are different.

Okay, thanks Chuck. Bottom line is to do it the same as you did it in the posted pic so that sounds good to me. Not sure about all the different series.
I looked up the Flashed ECU you mentioned. That is a very nice gain in HP. I had one that was 'chipped' for awhile and it would leave rubber in 3 gears if I was acting foolish.

The "Flashable ECU" I mentioned isn't a purchased one. It's a DIY flashable M4.4 unit. (Look up "M4.4 Wiki"). Running one in both our cars.

Just a quick update on the ECU fix. Done and dusted. Took ... 15-20 minutes beginning to end. Just copied Chuck's image.
I did notice Robert unplugged the pump when he reinstalled the ECU but I figured it is dead anyway so left it. Cleared codes and ran it and checked it again and all good. Oddly, not getting the P0455 anymore either but am sure that us just a time thing.
