Emissions issue involving MAF

Hey guys! First time poster here . My 2002 V70 T5 (216k miles) has had a CEL on for the better part of a year now, and I didn't really get around to trying to fix it until it was time for me to pass emissions (which I still haven't... 5 months and one ticket later). I've changed the rear O2 sensor, and I've also changed the MAF, since using MAF cleaner did not help the issue.

So the issue: it started with some rough idles, then progressed from just a rough idle to dying while idling. The code thrown was P2097 for the rear O2 sensor, so I changed it. No dice, the rough idle and stalling stayed, as well as the code. After this I found that P2097 can also be caused by a MAF issue, so I bought a new one and changed it. Low and behold, the idling got worse! My car would stall out multiple times on a short trip, so I unplugged the MAF and found the car drove fine with no stalling. It started throwing the code P0102 for low voltage. After about a month of driving with no MAF, I got a ticket for my expired tag and decided it was time to face the beast again.

I thought it may have been an issue with a cheap MAF, but my dad bought a new sensor only and installed that into the old housing, didn't help either. The stalling was horrible again, my mom was worried about me being able to get home. I unplugged the MAF, made it home with no issues. The P0102 code has stayed with or without the MAF plugged in, but the car can't even make it up my driveway with the MAF plugged in.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Have any ideas of where to go from here? Thanks

You need to look carefully at all turbo to intercooler, intercooler to throttle, and the intercooler itself for leaks. Also anything connected to intake that could leak. You might be able to find the leak by having someone hold brake pedal HARD while it is in gear and they take throttle barely open. You only need 1300 to 1400 RPM to get pressure in intake plumbing. With engine at that high idle you can feel around hoses to see if you feel escaping air. A length of vacuum line close to an ear opening but not stuck into ear can also be a way to sense air leakage. Air conditioner off (turn fan knob to 0) so the cooling fan is unlikely to run.

You didn't mention if your ETM is the original one, or if it's been upgraded.

It drives fine with the MAF unplugged, but not with it plugged in? How's the throttle response?

Do you have access to VIDA/DiCE to get the actual codes that a generic OBD scanner can't read?
