Vida Dice Topic is solved

I've been using Vida/Dice for several years but recently it seems the Dice isn't working as it doesn't get recognized on the laptop.
My question- Is there another scan tool option instead of spending money on another Dice? Any new technology?

If you have another J2534 interface try it. Vida recognizes my Mongoose. There are other members that use a J2534 interface other then DiCE.

Any specific models. Too much info on the web that just isn’t clear if they will work with a Volvo.
Will one work on a Volvo that is specifically made for a Toyota. I ask only because I do have a 2020 Toyota

Other alternatives, known to be working with VIDA, are "VCX Nano" from VXDiag (here) or, maybe even better suited for you, from iCarsoft the "CR v2.0" (here). The latter is for 10 different manufacturers, should therefor work with Volvo _and_ Toyota.

Unfortunately I only can find it on a GB website, but I'm sure, iCarsoft does sell it in the US as well...

You need to boot into older Windows where DiCE still works, and update DiCE firmware. After that it will be recognized in newer Windows.

I played with the DICE to see if it was fixable. When I opened the side with the USB cable, the plug wasn't plugged in. Now it works perfectly.
