I'll get back with results in a few days.

So after like 100 miles with no change in drive pattern I can see mpg is up a few "points"😀
Car feels like it is a bit snappier and it also took away a strange bogging issue I had when giving gas from stand still.
If you're not sure when your O2 sensor was replaced last I would suggest replacing it. Note here that I didn't have any codes or nothing. Just did it for preventative measures and now I also know when its time to change it again. 👍

Edit: I found a great article about O2 sensors that I posted on the forum a way back. It's really well written and explains in an easy way the function of the sensor. Here is the link:

So a quick update. I changed an old but not defective o2 sensor and I managed to lower the IAT by almost 40C (pre heater stuck). Having not changed my driving habits my mpg went from 16-17 to 20-21. That's about 25% better fuel economy👍.
It's still a bit high but I just drive short distances and have a medium heavy gas foot.

Nice! Not too shabby! Right there is proof that it's worth taking care of these seemingly small issues. Believe it or not, it'll save you some money!

It still baffles me that something like that is road legal in the US. Especially given it's structural...! Excellent work turning it around and getting it running again though, I'm sure it will be appreciated.

j-dawg wrote: 10 Dec 2020, 15:27 For me, The One That Got Away was a gray 84 318i coupe. Not the most desirable E30, but a fun little car that looked good and drove great. I bought an MR2 instead, fearing the quirks of an old European car as an inexperienced mechanic, and lost interest in the Toyota within a year. To its credit it was completely trouble-free with 220,000 miles.

It would have been a smart buy. Hard to imagine a $1200 E30 in any condition these days.
When i was a kid my father had a 1984 bmw 2002 with judson supercharger. Loved the handstitched leather was an awesome car... That supercharger ended up on a 1979 vw bus later in life...

Replaced the fuel pump in my V70 yesterday, quite an easy job. I had to dremel the pump carrier a bit to fit the AEM 340L/h pump but otherwise no issues
Same with my dw pump... Just barely shaved some of the ribs on the inside.. Sock also wanted to sit angled so swapped sock from oem pump.

repositioned the lights on the wagon, one of the shims came out for keeping the project headlights aimed upwards (otherwise they would be aimed straight at the ground). Had a friend verify that it wouldn't blind oncoming traffic (although 60% of vehicles up here are SUVs or pickup trucks :( )
