Somewhere here on MVS is a tutor of sort that shows how to add individual cars to the Vida database. It is lacking but can serve as a Kickstarter for somebody that understands Microsoft SQL database structures.

Be nice if somebody could code a wizard editor for the Vida database.

Found the post: VIDA for 2016+ P3 cars (Vida database editing ).

I can get access to the Vida database with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio V18.5.1 but I have no idea what to do.

Ok, new to the VIDA stuff and trying to figure it out. You guys have obviously put in a lot of work here and it's awesome. I will say though, that a dedicated thread would be nice, because going through tons of pages to find instructions is tough. One consolidated and updated thread would be sweet...

I'm following all directions as I can find them, using the Repack (I'm on Windows 10 Home) but running scripts #2 I get the following issue. I found a couple sites describing the same issue, but nothing of substance to resolve it. Any ideas? Thank you.

Go to Windows services and make sure SQL Server and SQL Server Browser are set to automatic.

This is what I'm showing. The VIDA installation (script #2) still seems to finish super quickly and says "VIDA NOT OK". I'm not supposed to just continue with the scripts/patch at this point right?

I'll look!

Meanwhile, the VIDA procedure was used to ERASE ALL codes, then, why would UPDATE, re-listed ECM-6806 from 600 miles ago for read date 10/7/2020?

Got it figured out, some files were getting missed during the SQL uninstall/ reinstall. Deleted those, installed SQL again, finished everything and now using VIDA on my sisters S40! Thanks.
Hi, what did you do to fix this problem? I tried uninstalling all of the "sql programs" from the control panel and I reinstall with the sql patch #1. I am using Windows 10.
