2008 XC 90 3.2L P0057 Heated O2 Sensor Location

Post by Wrestler22 »

Hello all,

I am looking for some help in locating the 2008 XC 90 3.2L Heated Oxygen Sensor Locations. Specifically the P0057 heated oxygen sensor. My OBD scanner is reading Bank 2, sensor 2. Looking at the car last night, I found two sensors under the hood, and two sensors under the car in the exhaust. I am assuming the P0057 is driver's side underneath in the exhaust?

Any help would be appreciated. Also, when looking to order the sensor for the P0057 code, do I want to order it before or after the converter? Thanks!

As I understand it, starting on the passenger side Cylinder 1 going to driver side is Cylinder 6. Bank 1 is cylinders 1-3 and Bank 2 is 4-6. The O2 sensors that you see closest to the cylinder head are Sensor 1(s) and those after downstream as they say, are Sensor 2(s).

So yes to "I am assuming the P0057 is driver's side underneath in the exhaust" - but only to where Bank 2, Sensor 2 is located.
