We get a much better top mount in 1999, unless you put poly in it.

That is a wear part and a pretty common failure on an aged P80

I haven't seen mine do that. Usually the mounts crack and move too much forwards and backwards. The one in the image above looks like it popped out sideways, to the right.
I wonder if the front engine mount is OK, down by the passenger's front wheel. It might be worth checking that one to see if it has collapsed.

98 S70 T5 & 03 S80 T6. Neither had a flared end nor flared bushings.

I'm wondering if I got a collapsed mount too. I have noticed the engine sounds just slightly louder when first started in the cab, only noticed if radio off, probably from this mount. Last time I opened the hood s few weeks ago to do an oil change, it was centered. Just got back from towing my quad on a trailer 300km round trip. I noticed it at my destination. No vibration or abnormal noises towing though, and I even have my AWD driveshaft installed.

The first one I installed (URO from FCP) after purchasing the 98 S70 T5 only lasted around 1.5 years. They honored their Warranty as usual. Should probably do all 3 at one time just to be sure.

The attachment rod looks shifted to the driver's side also. It would be best to check or just replace all the other mounts if they are old and then center the new upper engine mount before tightening.

I checked my front mount, it looks ok. I am planning on changing all of my mounts in the near future. Engine looks level looking at it from the front. I can slightly shift the mount side to side on the engine bracket, so I think there was a bit of twist in the rear mount from tightening the bolt, and normal engine vibration caused the front bushing to vibrate out of the mount. I shifted it as best as I could to the center for now. I have an ipd poly Mount bushing for that somewhere, a guy was selling it who also had the 17" pegasus rims that I am running.

The front mount has collapsed. The gap is suppose to be very small. The chugging or teeth chatter noise will get worse.

Mm. It's not for certain that lower mount is toast. The lower bolt isn't biting into the casing... https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/diagn ... ne-mounts/ like it is there. But that gap is a gap. Check the pin on the backside.
