Somewhat unrelated, but how do you like your s40? I'm considering getting one for my wife, there's a 08 2.4i 5-speed nearby for sale and we need a second cartheWIFES_S70 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2020, 15:05 Warning, this is not for a P1 Volvo (but it is for a 2010 FORD FOCUS TDC)

Hey smacknab, thanks for the question. My wife likes it. Less rattles than our poorly treated S70. (Though there are some creaks.) It also has working AC which she likes. We've driven about 5K miles on it. No problems other than the first thing: VVT seal blew out. So I changed that, timing belt and PCV for good measure. Next big job is to replace all hoses, thermostat and engine temp sensor soon...

Finally got around to changing my engine mounts. The job didn't take too long. Frankly, it took longer to remove the IPD Metal Skid Plate than anything else. It's all pretty straightforward.
Here are the old mounts This mount, which folks say you don't usually need to replace, needing replacing, too. Of course, I decided to replace everything underneath the car, too.
There is 0% vibration on the stick shift. Really nice upgrade/maintenance.
