Some of the OBD11 systems require a code reader to reset.
Go to autozone and have them read your codes and reset free, if its emission related or safety (airbag) they aren't allowed to reset it until the repair has been made.

1998 was an odd year for Service Reminder Lamps (SRLs) on Volvos...some of these cars can be reset with the DRAPER service reset tool for Volvos (which will reset the service light as well as SRS light), though I'm honestly not sure about the V90.Harry von Zell wrote:Anyone know how?
