Proactively replace oil cooler lines?

Hello, my 2000 V70 NA appears to have the newer P2 oil cooler with the short rubber hoses and worm clamps. I'm at 200k miles and doing a coolant flush. Is it recommended to proactively replace these hoses? Has anyone had problems with them?

FCP says they're part number 30676906 for right / upper / inlet and 30713304 for left / lower / return. VolvoPartsWebStore and Tasca say the inlet uses part 31439470 (same shape) and the return is discontinued. Maybe they're going out of stock so I should try to get them from FCP now.

are the hoses soft. volvo used the Oetiker clamps for those to avoid the overtightening i see in your pic. If its not leaking leave it alone, but if your stressing about it just change it.

Easy hose to spec if we know the ID. The shape isn’t complex, so a straight piece of hose will do.

Definitely use oetikers on those hoses, I wrapped mine with exhaust wrap to protect them

I have to change out my bad clamps on mine, good reminder from this thread

I’m not sure we have ever had a failure in these. If you watch your coolant levels you will catch a seep. I don’t think Volvo brand hoses ever burst.

Those steel tubes have quite a lot of corrosion. Anyone know how thick they are? If only about 1 mm thick, I suggest changing the tubes for long term peace of mind.

The PO of my P2 put on new oil cooler hoses using cheap worm clamps. They also didn't wrap heat shield around them.

With the hoses removed I just had to wrap them with exhaust shield and use high quality Norma brand clamps:

I used that same wrap but my clamps were crappy. I’ve ordered the Normas which are OE Volvo

Spray with Noxudol 700, it will prevent any further rust for the remaining life of the car.

Measured the metal pipes on the cooler today

15mm OD

There is a 17mm flare in them so a 15mm ID hose is needed to seal
