240 Jumping Voltmeter
I am having a intermittent problem with spiking voltage - I cleaned battery ground and removed the quick disconnect that had been installed by previous owner hoping that this might have been culprit but no go. My volt meter will be fine and then suddenly start spiking, lights increase in brightness, blower speed increases . . . any ideas as to what would cause this situation? Thanks!

You likely have a bad voltage regulator on the alternator. With some soldering skills and the part you do not need to replace the alternator. Do something soon before you have other damage.

I think I may have found the problem - fuse panel was powdered up with light corrosion so I dremeled the contacts with a brass wire wheel and also cleaned the contact ends of the fuses - so far so good!
