1984 240 GL Turbo will not start
I am unable to start the car after running out of gas. I put gas in but still no go. I sprayed Fast Start (or a similar product) into the carburetor; still nothing. I then poured some gas directly into the carb; again, will not start. The engine turns over. I have electrical power (windows, lights, etc.). The odometer doesn't work but I suspect I have close to 200,000 miles on the car.

Pull the plugs, check for spark and wet plugs.
If wet remove all the plugs and blast it out for a few seconds.
I wonder if there was water in the bottom of the tank?
Its also possible you burned the fuel pump then flooded the cylinders when you injected fuel yourself.
