I wonder if this tool is useful to my 850. 850 Petrol 170 HP 1995).

^ He's right - you can't change the timing on an 850, it's built in to the computer.

Typically you use this on an older car with an adjustable distributor to set the TDC (top dead center) position. On the 850 it is fixed like the guys have said.

I own several myself, but a) I was always a Chevy guy, especially b) running a NASCAR racer and c) I do own a '62 122.

Timing lights are for electromechanical controlled cars not electronics controlled cars. The ignition system was the first to convert to electronics controlled and that was completed back in the 80s.
