UPS lost my CEM

Post by brickyard2 »

 UPS lost the CEM for my 2004 XC70 on the way to Xemodex.

Now I have a 3,827 lb Volvo paperweight in my driveway.

A new CEM from Volvo will cost half as much as the car is worth.

Is there any way to recreate the codes from DIN, ECM, etc?

I'll buy any tools necessary but I'm in Indianapolis temporarily, is there someone around here with the DICE setup?

Hang on Yagger is busy right now. He will chime in when he finds the time. Guy been swamped lately.

I think you are going to need a new Key transponder(s) also. With your VIN number and some other information, Yagger might be able to recreate the CEM, program new Key(s) to the CEM and and send all to you. You would need to have the key blanks cut locally or transfer the key blanks from your old key(s).

I don't think the the 2004 CEM needs to be sync with the ECM.

Cost is between you and him. That is a subject for private messaging.

Yagger will get a hold of you later. He can recreate your CEM from one of his CEMs.

Without a DiCE you would need to send him your ECM, Keys, VIN number and some other information like Manual or Automatic. He would recreate the your CEM, program the keys in and sync the CEM with the ECM on his bench. Then send the whole package to you for install after payment.

Sorry, misread your message. Where do I send the ECM, etc? At this point, I'm so gun-shy of the mail, I feel like hand carrying to your location wherever you are!
