1989 780 Turbo Engine Mounts

Hello,

My 780 is in desperate need of new engine mounts. How difficult is it to replace them? Is this something that I should just let Volvo do for their quoted price of a couple hundred dollars?

If this is the 4 cyl engine it is not a bad job. You might check on brickboard.com in their RWD FAQ for complete instructions.

interesting. I'm not sure where he has that connected to the engine to be able to lift it up.

There is an engine lift hoop right above the thermostat housing on the 4 cyl. engines. Harbor Freight also has a lift which I have to do the same job. Just lifts the engine a bit so you have the weight off and you can do your work. The engine mounts are simpler than redoing the oil pan, but you do need to take off the oil filter to get at that mount.

Thats Art Bernsteins website, its not infected according to my filters, maybe you have yours set 'sensitive'.
