Hi, I have a question
Which plug wires should i use ? Many people say that Bosch wires gave misfire, and telling to buy Bougecords or Volvo Original or IPD only But sadly, I don't have any of those in my country, and importing wires from USA will cost $$$ and I have to choose from:
Bosch 0986357232
NGK 6076 (tbh NGK wires were bad on other cars while I used them)
BREMI 600123
Janmor VL17
Also I'm planning to tune up my car, so maybe there are some options for COP on M4.4?
Plug Wires Topic is solved

Bougicord is the original equipment supplier. Bougicord 6468 and Volvo 9135700 are the same parts. The only difference is the Logo.
Genuine Bosch is good stuff.
You will always hear bad things about good brand names. Counterfeiters target the high end brands. So watch where you source your parts.
People that blame the parts not their diagnostics.
People that expect too much from something.
Then there are the just plan idiots that don't know enough to keep their mouths shut.
Of course the Shills that want to mislead you.
There are or was conversion kits to convert a 4.4 to COP.

On the plug wires. I have a young friend and worked on her car a few weeks ago and noticed that it was fitted with NGK plug wires. Car has had them for some time and ran fine.
Like Rick says, some of the times the issue is parts quality and especially copy parts claiming to be a well known brand. People like the Bougicord brand as it is the OE and has had no reported issues that I am aware of in either OEM or OE versions. However, it comes down to what is available in some parts of the world. You don't have to buy parts from US. Try Skandix in Germany for example.

Thanks for answer, already thought about SKANDIX, but which brand wires they use ? Or they are making wires themselves?

I think I saw someone mentioned that M4.4 for S90 have COP control, maybe there is a way to somehow enable it on S70 M4.4...

They look like they have their wires made for them. They have 2 versions. The more expensive version is claimed to be OEM quality. The cheaper has no mention of this. Their products are usually good and they are also good at standing behind their stuff. Maybe worth while e-mailing them?
Volvo pricing over here looks crazy. Not sure if there is anyone who still carries the OEM parts. This company in UK claims to:

My 1997 S90 had 4.4 COP.
Vast Tuning had a complete PnP COP conversion kit at one time. How it looks the DIY ECU mod kit is the only thing they have.
If you wanted to do a 4.4 COP conversion today. Vast tuning could probably supply a ECU mod kit and a wiring diagram so you could make your own harness.

Those blue ones are for 10v cars and have part # 6469.
Bougicord or autodoc catalogue is wrong!
I bought the 6468 from Autodoc last year.

Thanks misha. Appreciate your knowledge as always. The Autodoc website otherwise looks reasonable on pricing.

A few years back, I was in a pinch and
picked up some Belden wires from NAPA.
I had no idea that Belden was in the plug
wire game, but they run smooth as glass
and I haven’t looked back.
