My rear view mirror wants to stay in the same place, which is not where I want it to be. If I adjust it upwards slightly, into the place where I need it to be to see correctly out of the rear window, it immediately slips back to where it started from. Ditto if I adjust it downward slightly. I have to move it way out of alignment, either up or down for it to stay there.
It's almost as if there is some kind of worn notch inside the suspension pillar clamp assembly which it slips back into when it isn't moved far enough.
Anyone had the same experience, or know how to disassemble the rear view mirror assembly so that I can find out why it's doing this please?
