Wow what are they doing to it, taking it apart and putting it back together again? ha ha.June wrote: ↑16 Feb 2022, 18:29January 2022 and car is still at Volvo. JuneMrAl wrote: ↑16 Feb 2022, 10:59Oh ok thanks. Maybe it changed over the years? How long ago did you have your last free tow?
Or maybe they dont worry about a certain amount of extra mileage unless it gets really high like 150 miles.
I would think though that they make up for the tow service costs by way of parts markup. Genuine Volvo parts seem to be higher priced than run of the mill parts, although they may be better in the long run after all.
I also think that at the time of the problem a free tow would seem like a blessing anyway.
But it's strange now i have two neighbors within 2 houses from me have cars at dealers and no idea when they will be done with either car. One neighbor has a Mustang at a Ford dealer, alnother a Hyundai that got recalled because of motor that can catch fire and decelerates randomly from 60 to 30 mph with no apparent reason and is considered dangerous. The car ahs to get an entire new motor. I woindered if she can get some payment because they are keeping the car for so long already and no loaner.
Is it typical for dealers to keep cars for a long time?
Also, do Volvo dealers give loaners?
Tnanks.
