seatbelt warning

Post by SirBrickWagon »

now, i've been having an odd issue with my car. (what else is new)

the seatbelt warning lights come on when i turn the car on like all the other lights on the dash, but the car does not warn me to put my seatbelt on when i start it. not sure if it's just because i haven't started driving yet, or what, but the light does not stay on when my seatbelt is off and the car is not moving. is this normal?

If you leave the key in the ignition, does it 'bing' to remind you to remove it when you open the door? There are also wires from the front seatbelt latches that may have been compromised or disconnected.

it does chime when i start the car and open the door with the key in. still think it might just be that i haven't driven with my seatbelt off so it wouldnt go off
