1999 S70 AWD ATF LEAK

1999 S70 AWD ATF LEAK

I’m seeping some ATF from the front of the trans. I’m guessing o ring on lower ATF hose

AS we always recommend, clean, run and re-check. I don't think that bottom pipe is leaking. Hate to say it it looks more like an RMS which is often a symptom of standing for a long time. Try some Blue Devil or AT-205 RMS sealant if it is now available again in the engine oil and take it for a good run. I had a similar issue with the California bound 850 which started to leak on the run to CA. A bottle of Blue Devil in the oil just short of Reno and all was good by Santa Rosa. Still not leaking 6 years later.

Oil at the A/C compressor might be PCV which might also explain an RMS assuming that is it.

Point of Note!! Check your second picture above. Look at the upper mounting bolt for the A/C compressor!! EEK!

That is not a fun seal to do. Ask my local dealer! They had to do it twice to get it to seal.

Maybe worth a shot at throwing a leak-stop type trans product?
