Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.

Depending on where you live the regulations covering these conversions can vary.

On the info given all I can say is that this is a very complex operation which has to be carried out by someone trained in the fitting of LPG appliances. It is not a weekend project for the DIY motorist.

Thanks for the reply. Can you confirm that you did the conversion yourself, or was it done proffessionaly for you (assuming you are not a proffessional LPG / motor mechanic.)?
If carried out 'un-proffessionaly', would it be possible to go into detail, or post the outline fitting instructions. -for this project ? (based in UK.)
Thanks, Art.

The conversion I have experience with is on my son's Talbot motorhome. It was done professionally, arranged by the selling dealer before he bought it. The original installer made a real mess of the installation and it was sorted out by one of the best converters in the country, at the dealer's expense.

As I said, it is not a DIY project because of the safety implications. You will find it hard to source the parts if you are not an LP Gas Association Approved Installer. Assuming you do obtain the parts and fit them you will need a safety certificate issued by an LPGAA Installer for your insurance company - no certificate, no insurance.

If you want further information look at this link to the company who sorted out my son's van:
