I've replaced the plates numbers, originally in aluminum, to some plastics ones.

V70 developped a bad knock a few days ago, finally got to dig into it.
Started by taking compressions, all good up there
Took the oil pan out and found out the culprits

Not sure how that happened, oil level was fine, in a straight line, pan o-rings replaced 15k miles ago...

Just replaced the entire cooling system on my 850 after radiator started leaking suddenly.
Could not find a genuine Volvo radiator so bought a Nissens which cost about half.
Reused the two rubber grommets for the mounting holes but did not replace the round metal inserts.

Spent the next day replacing the heater core and coupler.
Expected the steel heater pipe to be corroded but mine looked practically brand new.
I did replace it with the aluminum type.
Removed the accelerator pedal but still found it difficult to remove the coupler.
I removed some of the insulation around the firewall hole which made it a lot easier to install the new coupler.
Replaced all the hoses with genuine Volvo.

Ouch... I don't envy you.
Those jack stands are pretty great though, aren't they? I picked up a couple sets a few weeks ago when they were on sale. Really nice compared to HF's old ones.
