What you are referring applies to all cars. 2001 and older up to 2 monitors not in ready statues. After 2001 only 1 monitor not ready is allow!

Ok car is repaired but the repair shop says the monitors wont go ready yet. He says they drove it 150 miles and still not ready.
He said best he could do right now is keep the car for a while and drive it home at night and back in the morning and if they need parts use it to go get parts. That will work the monitors more.

Not sure what else to do at this point and im into it for about 2500 dollars so far (without the inspection).

Oh yes ok thanks for the reminder.
The AC does not work right now anyway, it needs a recharge
Too bad too because the car has to be driven and it's getting hot out.

I passed the drive routine you posted on to the repair guy and he is going to give it a try.
This drive cycle thing is a serious issue with this car. Fine for overdue inspection is 100 to 200 dollars USD in NJ.
If this works i think i owe you

One thing i dont understand though, what is a VST and how do you get one, or can you use something else?

Could it be a Volvo Scan Tool?
If it is i think it is very expensive.
"VST" appears in that document you posted. They are saying to use it somehow.

Oh i found it on the other page.
It says it is a Volvo Systems Tester.
Dont know what that is.

Little update.

So i got the car back today but it still needs to be driven more.
He said none of the drive routines worked yet and he couldnt keep paying someone to drive around in the car. So i had to go pick up the car.

So a little unsure of what to do next. I can try driving it a little more i guess.

Ok i just checked the mileage and the monitors and only three are ready 6 remain.
They put 270 miles on the car driving it to get the monitors to flip to ready but still didnt flip those remaining 6.

Does this sound normal?
Any ideas?

Which ones have set? Do you have a code reader ?
