What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Bad wiring. Looks like it was cut somehow before I bought the car. I have a used SIPS with good wiring all the way to the plug to replace it with.

Trying to remove turbo heat shield, I broke one rusted bolt off, the long lower one on the passenger side. DOH!
Got driver side upper off at least. Now the lower /hidden bolt on the driver side is still seized and has me concerned. I hit them with PB Blaster for the past couple days but they all look super old and rusty. I guess if I have to do the head gasket at least I will be able to remove the broken one(s). I'm chasing a ecm-6805 overboost. I think my waste gate is stuck closed or the actuator is bad. I can't move the actuator at all.

You can use VIDA to test output to the TCV. I assume you already tried replacing that though.

Yes I did test it, though I’m no pro at interpreting the data. Haha. I installed a new manifold pressure sensor $59 - no change and replaced the TCV (turbo control valve) again for free thanks to FCP warranty - no change either. Checked all vacuum lines, they seemed ok, and will replace those next as well. But when grabbing the Wastegate actuator arm I can’t budge it at all. Turbo has some axial play, I think too much, and I’m facing a possible head gasket replacement, so the snowball is building. Even with head gasket issues car was running well till I let it sit for a few months this winter.

Swapped out my driver's seat SIPS. I'm hoping the SRS module will be happy and finally turn off the light on my dash.

The 2001 is the one with the cut wires I removed, and the 2002 is the one I replaced it with. Easy enough job so far, but I haven't plugged it in yet. I'm too sore to do anymore today.

2004 v70 makes clacking noise up front when i back out the drive way, I had some new sway bar end links in a box the past 2 years so i installed them, had to cut one off , no more clacking and knocking noise.

Next up is front brake hoses.

Hot today and with the 08 sitting in the sun broke out my gallon jug of Lexol and gave the black leather a good rub down. Interior is in great shape for 140k miles but was a bit on dry side when I bought it so this is the second time in a few months to bring some moisture back.

Unhooked the battery, removed it, and ziptied the negative and positive terminals together. Unbolted the driver's seat to get to the wiring under the seat easier. I was able to lean the seat back far enough to swap out the cut SIPS harness with the uncut harness from the SIPS I installed yesterday. Put it all back together, key in position II, then hooked up the battery. None of the switches worked on the interior lights, and no door locks, possibly other issues I didn't check. Climbed out, locked the car with the key, unlocked it, and all is working again.

I still can't get the SRS light to turn off, even though VIDA is showing the old faults as green now so it should be fixed.

I did lose my seat memory spots, so I'll have to play around with it until I get it back to the comfortable spots I had it in before. (Driving, relaxing when working with VIDA/DiCE, and the occasional nap, are my usual three settings.)
