A next door neighbor planted the bamboo. It is native to some areas in the south. There are many varieties, but they are all very invasive. It crossed to our property and kept expanding. It grows from root runners and sends up new shoots in the spring. This type can get to 15-18 feet tall here and stalks at ground 2 inches in diameter.
I only want to get rid of it. I have written about it before in this thread (I think). It will die back with a freeze below -10 degrees, but we seldom get that here. Clearing it to the ground for several years will kill that area. Usual herbicides do not kill it.

Our new dog is doing great. The saddle backpack is helpful for behavior engineering and family walk in woods. Washing paws and a coat rinse afterward has accelerated becoming a pack -- ALL GOOD!

I'm finding my self immersed in quality of grass around our property, see this https://edustore.purdue.edu/epub/TURF-100-W21.pdf

It is called an emitter or dripper. They just push into the drip tube with a barb on the dripper. They come in various flow rates and pressure ranges. Does your drip irrigation system have a pressure regulator at the water connection? The pressure may be important when you go to the big box store to buy them.

I used to sell drip irrigation systems for Christmas tree growers.

Next stage of my home outside renewal is replacing siding at the eves above the brick veneer. It was built in the 1970's with Masonite lap siding. It has weathered OK, but will be replaced with Smart Siding panels. Yesterday, I removed the first old section using a Sawsall. I have found I will need to shim the bottom out at each of the short studs to gain clearance to the brick. I DO NOT want to knock mortar loose if the panels contact the brick at the bottom when I nail on the panels.

Check that Masonite for asbestos content, especially if you smoke.

My research found no asbestos concerns for Masonite Hardboard siding. Other credible information would be appreciated.
