Hello again,
One of my neighbors was kind enough to drive the car back and forth to work this whole week 16 miles round trip. No change to the OBD2 monitors, still 6 unready.
This morning he took it for an hour drive on 287, still no change in the monitors still 6 unready.
Called another garage, "We dont want to get involved in that".
Any ideas what to do? I stand to lose the car after $2800 in repairs because it is due to inspection the end of this month which is around 5 more days or so.

Re: Need Help With Drive Cycle(s)
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Hello again, little update here.
Well he drove the car a total of 2 weeks and then on the highway, and no luck. Then on Monday of this week they finally responded and he took it to inspection and it passed! Geeze ha ha.
I feel lucky to have such a great neighbor. Him and his wife are wonderful people.
Then yesterday i was able to get my cataract surgery and that went very well so now i can drive myself again too.
I feel pretty lucky but still a little beat from the iv sedation. Maybe take it out for a drive tomorrow or the next day, will be the first time in something like two months since i drove the car myself ha ha.
Thanks to all for all the suggestions here.

Clearly a day for the diary!!
Glad your surgery got done and hopefully it went as well as it did for my mother abut 8 years ago. She went from wearing glasses to 20/20 vision and is still there at 88!
Now hopefully you can de-stress and just enjoy your car again.
Neil.

Yeah it makes a big difference to go from foggy blurry to crystal clear! An amazing difference too hard to believe until you see it with your own eye(s). One thing i didnt realize was that a cataract changes your perception of color also. Apparently it 'yellows' your field of view so when you look at something with the color 'blue' in it, you dont see blue you see green, very green, and really all the colors are very pale looking. And so as you get out of the operating room, you see everything and the colors are incredibly vivid. I had no idea about that. I thought my computer monitor was failing! The colors looked so bad i almost bought a new monitor. Now i know what cataracts can do it completely ruins your life.
To illustrate this for people who never had a cataract, i uploaded this image. It is a program i wrote some time ago with different color buttons to launch different apps on a PC computer. The top image is what it looks like with the cataract, the bottom image is what it looks like right after surgery, the same day. This is no exaggeration it really is that different. It may not be that bad at first though but as time goes on it gets that bad. It's best to get the surgery as soon as possible too.
Note how vivid the colors are especially the blues.
Thanks for the reply Neil.
PS i had to black out some confidential buttons for security reasons so those buttons are not shown toward the right side.

Hi,
Hey you know that is a good question really. I know you were kidding, but it's actually under "Forums" and here is a small snap shot. I called it "Matts Volvo" though. Note it is at the top left which is the highest priority for that page.
Oh i had to edit my previous post really nutty typos. "I wrong that program a long time ago" ha ha it was supposed to read "I wrote that program a long time ago". Geeze.
"All About Circuits" is an electronics forum where i help students get their degrees in electrical engineering and just talk about electronic stuff. It's an interesting site, no cars though really unless it's just the battery or something like that.

Hi again,
Not sure what you mean when you mention "Fora" and "Shirley".
Also, "new version", new version of what you mean the program?
Thanks
