And don't forget a large brimmed hat ( can you say sombrero ? ).
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Yes, I forgot that. Carry your own shade on your head.

And the Number 1 way to deal with the heat: Stay in the A/C.

Hey guys. What product or method should I use to T-junction off this underground 12V wire I mentioned here.

I want to make 4 or so junctions off this long wire that comes from way on the other side of my house. I'm going to put 12V yard accent lights on these junctions at intervals.

Oh hey, I was just about to start learning how to set up some uplights under trees. Depending on your transformer, they talk about not splitting too many fixtures off.

An electric supply place (Or Ace?) have underground electric splice connectors that seal.
You would need to check that you do not have too much current required by all your lights and not too much voltage drop. There are equations (OR tables) to calculate.

I'll watch for too much load. Right now it's probably running at <5% capacity. There is a 60W cap, and so far I have four tiny LEDs.

Lat week I went out to water my very small garden and found something (likely deer) had eaten ALL of the ripening and green tomatoes from the 8 plants. A couple days later, the tops were removed from some of the okra and pepper plants.
We have not had a real rain in about a month, so the grass is brown and most every small plant is dry. I assume the deer found my watered garden very attractive and stretched through the loose wire fence to get to the plants.
After this assault on the veggies, I put up a 5 foot fence of wire panels around the attractive plants. The deer could jump this fence if they really wanted to do it. So far they have not jumped and the veggies are unmolested.

The windows' casing are showing rot where the brickmould meets the concrete sill; these are original wood windows.

A 20 minutes task of standing on ladder to assess the damage makes the aging knee shout; ladder is not the way to do this repair.

Now looking to purchase a scaffolding to make it a summer project for next few years. Waiting for a 20% harbor freight coupon:https://www.harborfreight.com/900-lb-mu ... =scaffolds
