Neil.
Hi again,

Oh that sounds really great. Wow Steve really gets around i knew he traveled but didnt know he traveled that much.
Yeah the carpet ones. That's what i have now.
Let me know how much you want for them :-)
Thanks to Steve too if he can pick them up.

Wow the shipping is nuts from Ebay but i never liked Ebay anyway.
Wonder what the shipping from Amazon is?

Thanks much Neil. I'd offer you something too but not sure i have anything you'd want you probably still have good junkyards. We had several really really good junk yards within 10 miles of here one even less than 2 miles away but they all closed up, probably because real estate became so valuable and they took up a LOT of ground space.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

The bigger joke is the shipping cost. People are not making the money on the parts it is on the shipping. Seriously $225 to ship a set of P2 mats to Canada? Are they coming in a gold box?

Neil.
I never buy from sellers that do that. It shows C $96.10 to me here in the US, so that seller isn't just marking up the shipping to Canada, it's just marked up more, to Canada.
Hi there,

Probably a sucker hook. He takes a chance on somebody grabbing it not knowing the real value. I see that from time to time on Amazon. The funny thing is, sometimes right under that kind of ad you'll see the same thing for $2 ha ha.

None as I said have been cleaned yet. The 'R' versions were from my car and probably won't sell those. I have a bunch of others including 740/740 beige plastic snow mats, a couple of P2 sets as well as more gray and I think beige rubber mat sets for P80's.

No idea why I bought so many but when I see them at the junkyard and they are in good condition but just dirty I will pull them. Just haven't got around to doing anything with them yet!

Neil.
Neil, if you were to sell these R mats and willing to send them to Austria, I'd take them. My R onlx has rubber mats, and it looks incomplete with these

Hello again,

Ok so i was joking around in the thread "What did you do to your Volvo today", but you want to hear a really good one?

I made a big big mistake regarding the missing rug. It's actually still there. I guess the way i was looking at the floor that day and the lighting and all made it look like the rug was missing. But at least i learned about getting a new rug set that was informative.

What is interesting about these rugs is that they button down or something so they dont move around. I thought that was interesting i've never seen that on a car before this. The other cars i have had in the past had rubber mats that were secondary not OEM if they even made OEM mats for those cars.

So a little funny i guess but at least i have the rug i needed :-)

Yeah ha ha. I see now that it was dark in that area so hard to tell it was there or not, and now i took a pic with a flash and i can see that it is actually dirty, looks like maybe grime, black and brown, so i doubt anyone would want that ha ha.
So now i have to get out there with my rug cleaning spray, it also has a tough scrubber at the end of it. Probably smell up the car with a chemical smell though for a while, just have to air it out after i guess.
I'd post the pic but it isnt pretty ... yet :-)

Oh gee thanks so much :-)

What happened was those 'buttons' made me thing it as not 'finished' in that area, and coupled with the darkness it was hard to see so it looked like there was nothing really there. Strange but it was an optical illusion.

I've seen other optical illusions on the road though that are of much more concern.
If you come to a stop sign and look both ways too fast, you may think there is no car coming if it blends into the background, the natural background, which can be a house or even the road surface itself. A gray or dark color car will blend in with the road surface if conditions are right (or should i say wrong) and the right angle. It could lead to an accident. So best to examine the traffic carefully before pulling out.
Of course i think everyone has heard about the so called "black ice" in the winter months. That can really surprise you.
