Window replacement is one of the biggest margin businesses for contractors.

I did 5 of mine in Pella line, paid $150 per window, each one took me 30 minutes to remove and replace, including sanding , priming, and putting in 3M guard down.

The windows quote was $4500.

Windshield with screens are much better. They keep out the bugs.

The manual lawn aerating that pulls out small core followed by over-seeding each fall has been a practice for keeping a good turf. But the years of seasonal rain, water gushing off the downspout and moving through the drain channels, separating flower bed from the lawn, has eroded and weaken a stretch of turf with an area 2' x 14'.

Therefore, this early fall was a good time to rebuild the turf and restore the drain channel back to old times. So, I did that last weekend while seeding a mix of red fescue and rye grass by Schultz. I was expecting a 2 weeks for grass germinating, but to my surprise, the new grass is showing off the 5th day over the patched area.

Spot over-seeding just before the first snow fall has worked for me; the grass germinates in time and stands up to pre-emergent fertilizer for weed control next season, and fills in very nicely during the season.

These are gorgeous days in Great Lakes area.

I am assisting my friend the electrician in adding 4 rows of 8' LED fixtures fitted with 4' LED tubes in my parents extended length garage. Adding a ceiling fan, more electrical outlets, dedicated air compressor circuit, 3 attic lights and then will insulate both garage walls and attic with Rockwool then finally sheetrock. Work in progress as everything requires pulling wiring and adding new circuits in the panel.

I think a paint brush might be easier. The scaffolding can't be the easiest thing to lift up and paint with.

It’s burgundy! Nice.

We did some fussing with colors today. The really red one dries to dark burgundy brown. Weird.
