1987 245 DL, wheel bearing "castle" nut size

Post by myspv »

i'm just hoping to find out what size those "castle" nuts are before i dive in so that i'm sure i have the correct size socket. i'm talking about the ones for the wheel bearings that take the cotter pin.

i looked in Bentley, but no info there.

thanks as always!

You will not need a wrench, after removing cotter pin you can almost turn nut with your fingers. I have used channel lock pliers and you will see the nut will turn quite easily.
