Super! Merci! Je connais Haynes ici aux E-U, mais qu'est-ce que c'est la revue technique RTA?

Hy,

RTA revue is the same kind of book than the Haynes one for the 850, but in french. Extremely useful, especially when you speak french !

Hy Buddies,

New homework done : The cooling system. A+

I know some of you would like to read it in English, but i don't translate for the moment, question of missing time. Preparing my future garage, the job, wife, kids, dog, gym, i haven't enough of 24 hours a day to do all i have to. I will translate my homework start the next one.

However, i still continue to go ahead. Thanks to those who follow this epic adventure !

well... hum... i hope these guys didn't wait for my homework number 7 " How to flush coolant fluid" to know how to flush coolant fluid...

Something that has nothing to do with my homeworks (brilliant, by the way), pics from Manov 850 workshop ( the beginning). the holes are made, I'm waiting for the fasteners to fix the rigid sheaths, then run the cables and finally connect the lights. Then will come the table saw, the french cleats and finally the repatriation of all my tools. I've ask 2 weeks holidays for end of october.

Here are some ideas for logos. I was thinking that maybe, making a channel in french on YT, it could be useful to some...
Give me your preference for the logo, it will help me to choose. It's also possible that there are more to come.

I still have to drill a 10 mm spit and a 700k ring to be able to take out the motor and work on it properly. I know, it doesn't look like much at the moment, and it's done with the means at hand. But, this is my first "real" mechanic workshop, and I'm very proud to be able to finally fulfill this old dream. Repairing my 850 in almost perfect conditions. It would be funny to organize a team session to celebrate the end of the workshop, but data links doesn't go at level minus 1...

What's your opinion ? One single board on the back wall (on a wooden frame to support no represented on the plan) and cleats on right and left sides or cleats everywhere ? I've got some tools to place : sander, electric planer, grinder, jigsaw, circular saw and some parts of 850, and of course hand tools. What is the ideal thickness for cutting cleats?

To what looks like your workshop ?

I have always felt you can never have too many shelves. If your space is narrow, but tall, you can put shelves above 6 feet and access with a step ladder.
Is the '700K ring' a hook in the ceiling? If so, I would be very careful of a lifting ring anchored overhead in concrete.

I recall my grandfather building a wooden frame truss to lift out the engine of my first car. It worked great and we attached a block and tackle to it with a hook and rope. Long before engine hoists became available to the home user.

I agree with lugnut - it depends on the concrete and reinforcing, and what kind of anchor. (And how many pounds / kilograms)

Is this a concrete bunker with a concrete lid?
