Key was flopping around in the old fob. Will add a picture of new fob with old key later. New fob also has a silicone cover. Yes, Youtube tutorial but still have to be careful cutting the chip out. Turbo is out so don't know if I damaged anything swapping it out. Time will tell.

Well, it was over a week or so when I washed the Project 2007 S60 2.5. When I arrived at my folks the other day the electrician said someone sprayed down the S60 but not the S80. He heard something going on outside but when he came out he didn't see anything. It was completely wet.
A neighbor had told me that some of the other neighbors were asking about the parking of 2 car in our driveway (1 allowed). Not wanting to think... Perhaps someone thought the car was dirty, but how? I ask one neighbor if they saw anyone and she said it just rained not too long ago. Didn't know the other neighbor well enough to ask, besides why would anyone just hose down one car. Sorry, long story short but yesterday it rain again.

Ok, confessions time. When I was 10, our gang figured out we had a severe OCD neighbor who no one liked, who yelled at us for everything, so we got in the habit of wetting one of his three cars and then watching him trying to figure it out in the morning.
I hope he got the help he needed.
Just back from NC - nice place. Shoes got wet somehow.

I put a muffler on my wife's car yesterday. Got it from a scrap vehicle that was on it's side. I think it got some rainwater in it, you could hear it sloshing about. First drive once warmed up so much steam came out it was like I did a Seafoam treatment,
... good flow now and no steam. Wife is happy it's the first time in over a year that she's had a quiet car since the last time it rotted out I just put a straight pipe with a 45 on it there.
It just occured to me though, handling the muffler, how poor the design is. It's massive and heavy and supported only by the clamp to the resonator, and the hanger on the tailpipe end. It's so obvious why both of these points fail as they have so much stress on them. There should have been a support designed at the actual physical fat body of the muffler. Just my 2c.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Ah yes, the dual hanger. One of my favourite 100% failure rate item of the P2’s. It’s up there with the DIM though ….

Replaced the driver's side low beam bulb and while I had the airbox out I cleaned up the leaves, acorns and mouse turds deposited on top of the transmission. Also, one of the looms for some transmission wiring was disintegrated, so got some more and made it new again.
