The only other option I have seen is the D5 diesel vehicles in Europe which is also tucked up in the same area but up on it's end.
IIRC California-speced P2s don't have a fuel filter, because they execute all eco-unfriendly humans who cause a drop of gasoline.

My s60 doesn’t have a serviceable fuel filter. I think the metal tank models are all this way.

AS to the headlight washers. Our 06 XC70 had a similar issue. I found the headlight washer pump looked like that scene of the alien exploding out of the guy in Alien. It had presumably not had winter windshield washer fluid installed before winter. I now only use winter screen wash all year to be safe!

This is the thread on the washer pump:

Took mom to the Doctor in the P2. Have to fox the muffler bracket in rear.

Doc doesn’t want to see her again for three months. She warned that she might have kidney failure in next 30 years. Mom gained 5 pounds this summer. Doc says keep eating bread snd bacon sandwiches.

Washed dirty rain off 2001 V70 recently. Clear coat is mostly all gone on roof. It looks like it has sunburn, which it sort of is.
My mom's Doctor tells her (at 91), she needs to keep doing three things every day - eat, walk, and sleep.
