VIDA 2014D_Repack install on Windows 10, any version.

To those that know. What changed after 2014? Why is it that we never got any copy of diagnostic tool after 2014? Aka VIDA2020 or VIDA2022?

Can anyone explain why I can't choose the dice in vida? It's like Espen explains earlier in this thread but after several installs I can't seem to figure out what goes wrong. I've tried installing the vida script 2 and I have tried uninstalling everything and installing again. 1, 2, 3, 2099, 4 restart. same.
I'm on win10 pro 64 bit.
I've tried double clicking the vida logo in the system tray which opens vida in internet explorer, I've tried open it in edge and google. Nothing helps?

Vida DVD:\Install\Utils\EnableIEHostingxxx.reg .
Make sure you run the right one for your operating system.
xxx =x64 is for 64bit operating systems,
xxx =x86 is for 32bit operating systems

Reboot and login.

When is this supposed to be done? I haven't seen it in the description before? There's no red X by the dropdown menu?

This is the only thing I have done:
"Run scripts 1- 3, in the root directory of VIDA2014D_RePack.iso, one at a time.
4. Run the 2099 patch
5. Run Script 4
Do not run Script 5
6. Reboot"

It a fix when things do not go right. Tends to fix communication problems with the DiCE unit.

Did you make sure .net frame 3.5 is installed?

The dianostics dice tool worked alright and I could get the leds to blink. But there was no dropdown menu in vida (as in the picture).

The .net framework 3.5 is ok here right?

.net framework 3.5 is OK.

You might try uninstalling any .net framework 4.8 features you don't need.
Unless you are a developer building web apps you don't need ASP.NET.

Alright. Thanks. The funny thing is that I actually got it to show the dice dropdown menu in vida but because of my f’ing around I apparently managed to delete the driver and programs for the dice. It seems like the 2099 script has to be run as the very last thing.
But when are the dice programs installed? It doesn’t work when I try to install only the dice via Vida install.

Good day,

my attempts are stuck when installing on a Win7 operating system, after step 2 with alba.exe starting but slowly after Task Manager reveals a process CPU load of only 0.1 percent, that is idling. The blue installer bar does not make any progress...

I proceeded through the uninstall VIDA process, retried, two times the same result.

Could it be that the iso is faulty, the md5 has signature here is b9fb18eaa490f23a73425dff5603c147.

Any helpful thoughts ?

Forgot to mention .net framework 3.5 is installed and I looked into the install note on the iso, Óñòàíîâê.TXT, which means alternatives.txt, which states that Win7 is on the list also, not just Win10.
