Hello,
I've got a knock or a thump coming from the front suspension when I crank the wheel left. Today I backed out of a parking spot and I had th wheel ALL the way left and as I moved it seemed as if I was driving through some pot holes but there were none... I've pulled the wheel off everything seems tight. (drivers side). Plesse.
A loud knock when I crank the wheel left. 2000 S70 Turbo

You could have a broken strut mount, a busted sway bar link or as simple as a messed up steering stop.
A cracked subframe bushing is a possibility but not a very common issue

I took the car to a empty lot with a buddy of mine and cranked the wheel all the way right and left and reversed the car and drove forwards as well, while the wheels were turned, in full circles. I'm starting to think that the imaginary pot holes may of actually been there. It didn't appear like anything was wrong during the test. I did however hear and feel (through the pedal and floorboard) the knock occasionally only while turning the wheels left. It's certainly happening throughout the motion.
I've replaced the strut on the right side, so i'm thinking that'a not it. The sway bar seemed tight, not sure where the steer stlop is. How would you check these things to know if there bad or good. Please advise.
Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the pics. I've been nosing around and the steering stop could use a touch up, however I don't think they are responsible for the noise. I discovered a bottom tie rod boot or dust cover cracked open on the left side of the car. Could this little monkey be responsible for the noise. I hit the car wash up a lot and perhaps I've washed out the bushing inside??? What do you think?
Thanks
Thanks

OK the tie rod I'm referring to is actually a sway bar link. Oops.
Andy advice The boot on the bottom of the sway bar link is entirely seperated. I Jacked the front end up and cranked the wheel left. I was able to grab the link and move it pretty easily. Could this be it?

I'd say yes...it shouldn't move at all.

Hello everyone, I've replaced the sway bar link and the knock persists. It happens throughout the turning of the wheel left and now right. How about the subframe ushing mentioned before where can I mfind this? Is it as expensive as it sounds??
Thanks.
Thanks.

It certainly sounds like a broken spring seat to me. Did you not replace it while the strut was out?
