I have done the CAN level at 5V ... no damage.
If you want to level shift. Use a CAN Transceiver with level shift built in.
Volvo CAN is 3.3v.

I still cant get Cemcracker to do much of anything. I took a full video here, showing the crash. I assume at this point my knockoff Dice just isnt up to the task. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks

The "not so good" copied dice versions, seem to have probs with the send periodic msg function which is used for prog mode. I try to do a workaround later...

Hi guys,

just kind of checking in, i plan on reading up on this post to see if theres any updates to make to the wiki and i finally have a good few days time to really improve the wiki more, i do have one question though, on p3 i took my cem out as i was having a hard time getting it to stay in programming mode and therefore slowing down the cracking as it would constantly re-enter programming mode, im now lending this device to a friend but before i post it to him i wanted to see if anybody has had any luck figuring this out, its a V40 that im finding it hard to keep in programming mode, many thanks, Jack

included a picture of my device setup incase its the length ive extended the can bus by etc, i currently think it could just be the length of these wires but any help is greatly appreciated :)

P.S the Esp01 is just being used to connect to wifi and then share what the teensy is outputting on serial over wifi to a webpage for remote monitoring, or via a phone locally.

V40 is P1, no?

Adding a pause between CAN requests usually helps to early P3 CEMs to stay asleep, however I found it was still quicker to go as fast as it can and re-enter programming mode when needed.

How often is it dropping off the programming mode?

What is the 3 byte pincode that is used with DHA? Is it different from the 6byte pin or is it possible to convert it to 3 byte pin? Or am i missing something here? 🤔

Can you elaborate what you mean by "adapt"?
