Buy a JY subframe, change the bushings, swap? This way you minimize the downtime and allow yourself all the time you need.

Ah good idea.

Also are there inserts for those bushings, like the well known subframe bushing inserts?

I saw this

listed to fit V70 AWD, maybe it fits XC70 too, for the upper control arm bushings.
I hope this fits and can be installed without dropping the subframe.
