Made the deal and will be transferring funds and receiving the car tomorrow it looks like. Few issues to fix but nothing major, will try to handle most issues on my own.
Car has 243 K KM and checking the carfax it seems to be regularly maintained on time.
Car tracked true and transmission was nice. Its about 10 years newer then what I was driving but I do like the cockpit of the S60. Wagons were nice but this may be slightly cheaper to drive and definitely cheaper to buy based on the current market.
Will have more details but the plan is to add foglights, throw on some 7inch ralleye lights and eventually get a trailer hitch for a bike rack and roof racks.

Sounds like a great car. Congratulations on your purchase.
I love to browse the listings on Kijiji despite not needing a replacement for my 06 v70. Where was this S60 listed?

Down near the greater Toronto area. Biggest issue looking was finding something priced right for its age and without rust. Rust is the death of many cars here and the death of your knuckles when wrenching. If you got less rust then rust proof it at home or get it rust coated. Advantage of home treatment is you can hit more areas and throw on a good coat.

Car was safetied today. Was told by my mechanic to get the car rust proofed as it had little to no rust on the body.
They did the balljoints and noted that they were somewhat worn but generally in good condition.
They changed the oil and oil filter, and charged the AC and fixed a window issue i had.
They checked the timing belt and told me it looked good, said to schedule it in a month or two.
Changed rotors and pads.
Changed air filter
Said the car was very good, had an offer from another customer their of 4500 as is for the car. The week of driving and running around was worth it.
My plan is the following:
-Found mobil 3309 for 10$ a qt cad, will buy 6 qt's for a transmission flush.
-Change all bulbs from halogen to LED at the front
-fix a motion sensor mount that is loose in the cabin
-detail car
-oil spray car
-change all rear bulbs
-change left indicator as it is out

Sounds like you found a good starting point in this car! Sounds like it just needs some regular Stage 0 work and a little TLC.
When you get a chance upload some pictures!

First things to fix:
ABS left front wheel sensor throws codes at approx 60-80 kmh when accelerating on the highway.
Its accompanied by a brake assist anti spin module error due to communication with motion module.
Ill upload proper codes and pictures tonight. The thing runs like a nut and will order 12 qt's of mobil 3309

Love my 08 S60 2.5T, pulls hard at 80mph. 154k miles.
I would skip the LEDs unless you are certain the resistors work, ones I got threw bulb out warnings and I went back to good halogens.
Oh, and if the fabric on your a-pillars peel you can fit all plastic ones from earlier S60s. I found oak colored ones on eBay and spray painted to match my interior.

I was chasing down some odd issues today. My left rear side of bulbs seemingly did not want to work until i took out the resistor and cleaned it a bit. My drivers turn signal indicator is not getting power at the moment and i cannot figure out why yet.Krons wrote: ↑14 Apr 2023, 15:12Love my 08 S60 2.5T, pulls hard at 80mph. 154k miles.

Car does run great otherwise. I might make an inline load resistor connection for the lights to hook into the LED's so it is easier. Got some spade terminals and decent soldering skills.
The fabric is peeling and a module is hanging loose from the headliner. I will mount it with some double sided tape to a piece of plastic to hold it in place.
The front drivers indicator not working and the wheel speed sensors are the only things that are really troublesome.
I need to find some squirt nozzles as my car can effectively eject a stream of washer fluid at anyone who stands in front. Caught one of my coworkers in the leg by mistake.

Fixed the turn signal with a diy jumper cable. Changed the windshield wipers. Ordered some LED's for highbeams along with corresponding "canbus decoders". Saved the volvo oem fuel filter, and roof carrier in cart. Also ordered and received the sparkplugs, will likely do them sometime this week for fun.

Broke the CCM passenger temperature sensor by mistake today, ordered identical parts for 7.46 cad x3 + 8 dollar next day shipping off digikey. Can post the part number after but will also take some photos on the teardown. I thought the bead was an ant body and accidently poped it out. I have good soldering skills and reflow skills so not too worried. Will have 2 spares if it ever happens again.
Also will try to take off the rain sensor and use silicone to reattach it to the windshield. My goal with this car is to restore it as close to fully functioning as possible.
Will change the upper engine motor mount as it appears worn and i am 90% sure i have a new one sitting in the manual car. Will swap mount for mount.
