I'm in a similar spot. My power seats and cigarette lighter recently stopped working....both individual fuses are good and it seems to be a not uncommon issue related to a shared relay on the CEM.

I don't know how good they are but they are a lot cheaper price wise than Xemodex. I plan to try them out. I'm also doing valve cover gaskets (06 xc90 4.4) and waiting on a few more parts. Plan is to coordinate the best I can and have the CEM out for repair while doing valve cover gaskets and by the time the CEM is back to have the gaskets done.

have you had a chance to look at this?

Oddly enough I never needed to send any periodic msgs in my S60 P2 and my custom device, in programming mode. Once the modules were all "asleep" I could do anything I wanted and I observed no changes in the car.

The J2534 periodic message function was used to ensure that the FF 86 commands was sent fast enough for all modules to enter programming mode. This way it is not limited by software, operating system or computer speed.

So it isn't just about sending the command and ensuring all modules have received it, it's about how fast it is sent? Is this why I got an SRS Airbag DTC?

My python code for RPI basically alternated between the buses and sent the FF 86 command for a second or two, spamming basically. This worked for me, but the SRS Airbag code got triggered and could not be easily cleared. Obviously python->socketcan->mcp2515->can bus is introducing a lot of latency.

As for knock off dice, some people have had no luck getting it to even work.
