Trip Computer Display Gone Mental & re-gas air!! 2002 S6

Hi - just like to say dead impressed by this site!

I have 2002 s60 D5 SE had it for 2 1/2 years and love it! got it with 98000 on it now has 137,500 but about 4 weeks ago the trip computer display started going mental - here is some examples:

1 - all the words on the different info views were missing characters or lines
2 - words would be repeated on lines and not showing like the MPG etc
3 - it some times does not let me cycle through the computer ie mpg, average speed, miles to empty tank.

and finally the AC has not been anywhere near as cold as last summer - i have ran for ages to see it needed to just be warmed up as such but no such luck - does it need some more cold????!!!!

finaly now it says i need an urgent airbag service? these have never gone off even before i had the car so not sure what to do there.

any help?

My dads 2003 V70 AWD just did the exact same thing. He had it to the shop and it was going to be $1500 to fix it. He is going to live without. God bless computers.

Your DIM module is probably shot and he's right, it's about a $1500 retail job.
2003 seems to be a bad year for those dashboards I had one I replaced about a month ago ($1200 wholesale, installed)
