Abscate I think did this with new connector on his S70 AWD, but if he didn't I know someone here did.

There is a. Dorman part that fit those and then you have to professionally clamp hose to that. Part numbers should be in my Ekaterina resurrection thread

If we're talking the ones between the bulkhead of the pump insert and the pump itself that sits in the tank, I'd recommend a combination of crimping and soldering, then applying the heat shrink that has the hot glue like sealant in it. This assumes the 99 XC's pump is the same as yours. I know Abscate ended up press fitting a metal pipe, ran the wires through epoxied/RTV'ed the freak out of it.
Also, not sure if Abscate still has it, but I think there may have been a decent AWD plastic housing kicking around for the fuel pump. I am unsure if the gas gauge sender worked, I don't think it did. You'd also need to solder the connections on the external bulkhead end on this one as I think I only left an inch or two pigtail on each on the external side of the bulkhead. It may have been tossed. I wonder if someone enterprising could get a 3D scan of a "decent" one and then create a STL file of it for potential 3D printing in the future when the parts stream has ended. I wonder how well PETG would withstand gasoline... May have to test...

Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
