Haldex fuse?

Post by leapdragon »

Hi all,

In a separate threat I've just mentioned dropping my XC70 AWD prop shaft, and why. I'm going to be driving FWD until I can source another one.

All drives well right now, BUT... I haven't done this before for an extended time and I'm not sure I like the idea of the Haldex trying to activate when it's not rotating. It'll probably be fine, but I've read in other threads about pulling a fuse.

Problem: I can't find it, either in the passenger compartment or under the hood in the engine bay. I read through all the fuse labels, but nothing like "AWD" or "Haldex" or "Rear drive" or anything like that.

Is there in fact a Haldex fuse I can pull? And—what is it labeled? Anyone know?

It’s in the cargo area block, which is on the drivers side. Fuse 23, 7.5 amps.

Owners manual is really good for fuse box locations and contents.

Putting the car on stands and tearing apart half the bottom, can do. Remembering what an owner's manual is for, that's difficult. :-D

I honestly hadn't thought of the owners manual, and had also totally forgotten about the fuses in the rear. Thanks!
