1999 s70 t5 banjo bolt which hole?

Post by i4gotmyid »

So...i'm an idiot, I removed the pcv breather hose (without photos) and am ready to reinstall it. I noticed there are two such holes to install it in, a lower and upper. The slotted guard on the hose seems to suggest the higher one, but there are marks on the lower that indicate the hose was previously there. If I try to put the hose on the lower, the guard pushes the hose away from making contact. I figured I would ask here and see as I dont want to have to do this twice and I dont have access to an already built engine.

This is the coolant banjo off the PCV manifold that mounts on the rear of the cylinder head? I’ll snap a pic this morning

It looks like the banjo threads into the head and the heater hose right below it into the block?

I just checked also, but it is hard to see on a built up motor with the turbo. However, mine is plugged into the lower hole as Abscate says.
